Laura Everett

Laura Everett serves as the Associate Director of the Massachusetts Council of Churches, the state ecumenical body of 17 Orthodox and Protestant churches. She has served with the MCC since 2004, staffing the Commission on Christian Unity and the Strategy and Action Commission. Laura currently sits on the United Church of Christ's national Council for Ecumenism. Additionally, Laura has represented the United Church of Christ on the Local and Regional Task Force of Churches Uniting in Christ and various committees of the National and World Councils of Churches. She is currently serving as the chair for the fundraising effort for young adult ecumenical formation with the U.S. Conference of the World Council of Churches. Laura is a member of Hope Church in Roslindale, MA, a United Church of Christ and Christian Church Disciples of Christ new church-start.

Academic Background Laura Everett received a Master of Divinity in 2004 from Harvard Divinity School and a B.A. from Brown University in 2001. She received the Boston Theological Institute's Certificate in International Mission and Ecumenism.
Publications: Laura recently reviewed  the National Council of Churches Faith and Order Commission’s Ancient Faith and American Born Churches in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies.  She was a member of the writing group for Receive One Another: Hospitality in Ecumenical Perspective, published by the World Council of Churches in the Risk series in 2006.
